About:Visa Policy of China

My wife and I are Canadians living in Guangzhou, both of us using F visas. It is getting much more difficult to obtain new visas in China. Is it possible to renew an F visa in China still? If not,is it possible to go to a foreign country like Japan, Korea, or Malaysia and renew it at the Chinese embassy or do we have to return to Canada?

I guess that it is hard for you to renew your F visa in Guangzhou because of the coming Asian Games, you can go to Hong Kong, Macau or a neirbouring Asian country to apply for F visa renewal, in fact, you need to apply for a new F visa. Please don't go to South Korea to Vietnam, the China embassy in Vietnam/South Korea ask applicants who are not Korean to provide residence permit valid for more than 6 months.
