About:Shenzhen Travel

We are 2 families travelling in a group of nine, visiting Shenzhen from Macau in early December. My question is :
1. Is the ferry terminal the same as the one that we will use arriving from Hong Kong ? Is there any restriction on the number of luggages you can bring on ?
2. Are there public buses at the Shekou terminal that will take us to our city hotel ? What is the cost and is there a bus timetable ?
3. Alternatively, if we take a taxi, what is the approximate taxi fare per cab to the city ?
4. Can taxi take 5 persons ?

1. Yes, it is the same ferry terminal. One passenger can take one piece of baggage free of charge, and it shall not exceed 10kg, the second piece of baggage can be delivered. every 10kg or below of the checked baggageis taken as one charge unit, and each unit is charged 30 yuan only.
2. Is city hotel the hotel name? a little confused since there are several hotels in Shenzhen has the word "city" in it, which one do you mean?
3. The taxi fare will differ a lot for different places in the city.
4. Shenzhen taxi can carry at most 4 people in one cab.

Sorry for the confusion. I mean, a hotel in the city. We have not actually booked yet, it should be in the Dongmen area as we want to do a bit of shopping. Would you recommend any good clean nice hotels in the area and near Shenzhen metro ?

About the luggages, so do we inform the counter staff at the time we buy the ferry tickets about our baggages ? Is there special counter that you use for passengers with baggages, since they need to weigh the bags ?

1. You may consider the Luohu Hotel, which has very good location in Dongmen Area, walking-distance to metro and shopping center.
2. I think the course will be the same with taking a flight. You should weigh luggage at the check-in counter, not at the ticket window.
