Hi, I'm visiting Chengdu, JiuZhaiGou, Huanglong, Emeishan etc on this coming 4th September to 11September2010 with my mom and friends in a group from Medan. I would like to ask how is the weather like? (Abt 10-15degree Celcius or 15-20degree Celcius?)I will be travelling with tour-guide, but If we don't speak Mandarin, do the local people speak English or other dialects? (U know, when we want to buy souvenirs, come the bargaining time, I just dont want to sound like arguing)...Are there a lot of stalls selling souvenirs in the JiuZhaiGou Park? What are the best souvenirs to buy? and are they expensive?I saw Mr. Cook was saying that at JiuZhaiGou the air is very thin therefore advisable for young/old people to bring oxygen, is that true? (I guess not that serious, right in this coming SEptember)...Okay, I look forward to hearing from your news.Cheers

Local people do not speak English, but their dialect. The guide can help you if there is bargaining. The souvenirs inside the park would not be cheap. You can buy some ornaments, yak meat tast good, tangka Paintings or Qiang Monority's emboidery. My friend bought a Tibetan knives. Suggest you do not by this. I think not necessary to bring oxyen.

If you decide when you get to Jiuzhaigou that you want oxygen you can buy it for 15 RMB per bottle. It is free in Huanglong (you pay a token 1 RMB). Don't let anyone charge you any more for it.You will be able to bargain using the calculator they will put in front of you.You can buy much the same souvenirs inside and outside the park so you're probably as well off waiting until you get out. If you can try to purchase from local people.It should be around 20 degrees during the day. Cooler in the morning and at night.
