About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

Hello, My girlfreind and I have overstayed our tourist visa both have expired and over the 90 days by about 6 days as we are waiting for our jobs to prosses a work visa for us, however today they have told us that they are many months away. we have a sighned contract, witch does state that we will have a work visa. We know we have to get a new visa, is it possible to get a new visa or a visa extention, from here or changzhou, or should I be on the next flight to hongkong, will he contract help not pay the fine? and SHould we go to an imigration office frist? Thnak you so much for your time pls reply ASAP

Mr.SATHER, it is impossible for you to get a new visa or visa extension from here or Changzhou, now you need to surrender yourself to the local police station and pay for the fine 5000 RMB at most, then you will be given a 10 days L visa to exit China, if your employer send the work permit and visa notification letter to you, you can apply for a work visa in your home country again.
