Mr.steven, please tell me which state do you live in? The China embassy/consulates in USA doesn't accept visa application by post, please submit the application to the Visa Office of the Embassy or Consulate -General which holds consular jurisdiction over the state where you reside; If you cannot come in person, you may entrust someone else or a travel/visa agent to drop off your application at the visa office of the Embassy or Consulate -General which holds consular jurisdiction over the state where you reside;

it is inconvenient to ruin an entire day in order to obtain a visa from your nyc office, which is very slow, cumbersome and not well managed. i reside 2 hours from your office in new york and quite frankly dont want to waste my money on a service to apply for a visa for me. i would like to apply by mail.
why does your country and your office not allow for mailing of pertinent information by us mail in order to obtain a visa?
i know with the trade surplus us and china has - your country should be in a position to provide adequate personnel support and provide this assistants & speed to us citizens wishing to visit your country for business so we can spend american money in china to make your people and businesses successful. i think china's cost in this matter would be trivial compared to the amount of money which is spent by americans doing travel & business with and in china. dont you?
