i want to take a bus from badaling great wall to summer palace so that i can visit both

I want to take a bus from Badaling Great Wall to Summer Palace so that I can visit both places in the same day. Is this possible and what bus do I take? What is the distance between the two sites and how long will it take?Thank you.

It will be a challenge to visit these two places in one day. Well, suppose you leave for the Badaling Great Wall at 08:00 in the early morning. You could return to Jishuitan, downtown area by bus 919 around 13:00. From the 919 bus station, you should walk a short distance to the Jishuitan metro station. Then, please take metro Line 2 here to Xizhimen Station, where please transfer to metro Line 4 to the Summer Palace directly. The time would be about 14:30 or 15:00. This park will be closed at 18:00, so you just have a short visit to the 726.5acres royal garden.
