About:Hong Kong Weather

I am planning to visit hongkong from 27-Aug-10 to 1-Sep-10, would it be ok to go at that time as from above discussions I can see it would be a rainy season

It will be hot and humid. The average temperature is about 28C.
Frequent thunderstorms are the norm. But uit is OK for you to visit Hong Kong that time. You need to bring an umbrella and dress lightly in cotton.
