We will be visiting Hangzhou on 6Sep, is this the perfect time to view the tidal wave?How far is from Hangzhou city to Qiangtang river?

You can take Bus K561 to Qiantangjiang Bridge and see tidal wave there. Yanguan Town in Haining City is a good but crowded place to see the waves. September 6 (lunar July 28) is not the very good time to see the tidal waves. A few days later is much better. The best time is around Lunar August 18. The time is about at noon. So you need to get there in the morning and waiting for the waves.
