About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

I have been to Hong Kong and Macau. Will I still be considered a first time traveler to China if I would like to apply for a visa to visit Mainland China? I'm asking this so that I will know whether to answer Yes or No to the question if I have been to China before in the Visa Application Form.

yes, you are still considered as a first time traveler to China because Hong Kong and Macau apply different exit & enter controls from Mainland China, now you apply for Visa to Mainland China.
