About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

I am Indian citizen going to India from USA via Beijing with a 23 hr stopover in Beijing. The Air-China has said to provide provide me a hotel voucher. Does going to the airport hotel need a visa? If I want to go out to the city for a tour, do I need a visa?

You don't need a visa for going to the airport hotel becaue you have the hotel voucher offered by the Air China. You need a visa if you go out of the airport and go to city for a tour.
