About:Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport

Hi Guys

urgent advice needed. i've read through this thread but i need a more updated information. anyway, here's a potential problem i face. I will be arriving HZ via Airasia on the 2nd of Aug at around 1:10pm, i need to get to SH on the same day, as soon as possible. I was told by my friend it's very hard to get either a train or bus ticket to SH now because of the world expo.

Airasia shuttle service - i heard they will sell the ticket during the flight, but i cant bank on this, imagine what's going to happen if tickets aren't available for whatever reasons. The shuttle will depart at 2:15pm (from the HZ Xiaoshan airport i guess). Is there a way to buy the shuttle ticket in advance? i couldnt do that via airasia website.

Train - my friend said i have to pre-book and pick up the ticket a day in advance. how am i suppose to do that when i don't know anyone in HZ.

Other bus services - absolutely no idea. seen some info here and there but most are posted before the world expo. have to put this event into consideration.

really appreciate if anyone can help. taxi is not an option as it costs a bomb, which defeat the purpose of me flying on budget airline

Thanks a million

Hello, firstly, the bus ticket can be booked on plane. That is the way they sell it. If you are unable to get the ticket as you said for whatever reasons, you still have a lot of ways to get to Shanghai. Firstly, you can take airport shuttle bus to Hangzhou Railway Station, after arriving, you can go to the ticket office and buy bullet train ticket for Shanghai, every hour, there would be one or two trains leave for Shanghai, if you can't get train ticket, then you can wait for another train. If you find it still hard, you can walk to Hangzhou South Bus Station which is near the railway station and buy the direct ticket to world expo, there are around 20 buses a day, I think no matter how hard, you'll get one. Good Luck!
