Question

About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

I wish to contact the embassy concerning business with China. I noticed that the Ambassador's form of address on the website is Mr. Is this sufficiently formal for a written letter to the embassy? Is there another, more appropriate form of address in such a case?

Thank you for your help.

It is ok to address him Mr.Zhang. Or, you can just address him Ambassador Zhang (it is more formal but I prefer Mr). Chinese people do not like be called with their full name, like Zhang Yesui.
