Hello we want to go from Dali to Kunming and then by train from Kunming to Guilin on the 6th of august. (Train departures round 18.00) We want to know a few things. What is the best way to get to Kunming, bus or train? Is it possible to buy train ticket (soft sleeper) on the same day you arrive in Kunming, last say 2 hours before departure? If it is not possible, is there a possibility to buy train tickets before in Dali?Or to buy train tickets with travel china guide and ask them to deliver the tickets in Dali?We hope that somebody can help us; we are leaving soon to china.Kind regards,Mr van der Heijden

It is about 360kms from Dali to Kunming, and costing about less than 5 hrs by bus, while it takes around 8 hrs by train. From Kunming to Guilin, you would better buy the train tickets in advance because train tickets are usually under great demand. For the details, you can consult them by an online booking enquiry.
