About:Chinese Embassy in Canada

Hello,

I am teaching in Korea and I am coming to the end of my contract in two weeks. My travel agent said the visa requirements for China changed on July 1st. She says I need to give her my alien registration card and that it needs to be valid for at least six more months. To me this doesn't make any sense! Is this true?

I am concerned because my alien card is only valid for two more weeks because I am done teaching then.

yes, it is true, China make the visa regulations stricter than before, you have to hold an alien registration card valid for more than 6 months, then you can apply for China visa in South Korea, otherwise, you have to return to Canada or go to Hong Kong to apply for China visa.
