Hello..

I will be travelling to HK this August 2010 together with my friend and we are planning to visit shenzhen for a day and after that we'll be going back to HK. I just want to ask if we can obtain a shenzhen visa only at the Lo Wu border? We will be travelling to shenzhen early in the morning and go back to Hongkong in the evening. Is it possible for us to obtain a shenzhen visa only (good for 5 days) or do we need to get a double entry visa? Thank you very much for the response.

I've heard that in this case, you only need to apply for a Shenzhen special licence at Luohu (Lo wu)border. When you pass the Kouan Bridge before entering Shenzhen, there is a board denoting "Guangdong Province entry and exit" That's the office located.

Hi Ms Cathrina,

We're also planning the same thing and also on August. When will you be in HK/Shenzhen? Have you known any news regarding the visa at Lowu border? Someone told me that if you're a first time to get the visa, it would be difficult to get it at the border. Im not sure if this is true though. If you have any news, please do inform me. Thanks

if you're from the Philippines you need to get a China visa in the Philippines if you want to go to Shenzhen.
