About:China Customs Declaration

I will going to china next month and i have heard that they have two currencies with one worth more than the other. If you pay with the higher currency is it likely that they will try and give you change in the lower currency??

What are those two currencies? I have never heard there are two currencies in China. The official one is the Chinese Yuan for sure.
