About:Baggage Allowance for International Flights

I am flying from Vancouver BC to Shanghai China with my 7 year old daughter in 2 weeks. My question is can I bring skim powdered milk, some nuts and dry cereal in my checked luggage provided they do not exceed the weight and diameter restrictions? any info will be appreciated. thanks
