About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

hello, i am currently in china on a L visa and is about to expire at the end of july, but I need to take care something here till august, I do not want to go back to the states to get a new L visa, so would it be possible to go to japan and get a chinese visa there around early july? and then return back to china, I am an american, thanks.

Mr. Curties, you need not go to Japan to apply a new L visa. Just take all your application documents to apply for a differance in the consular affair office of the local police station.
