About:Chinese Embassy in Australia

I intend to visit Shanghai on June 17 for four days while my wife is there for a business trip.
I am Australian and hold an Australian passport, but I am living in Singapore.
Do I need a visa to enter China? If yes, can I apply for a visa with the China Embassy in Singapore? How many days do I need to get a visa issued?
Thank you.

Yes, you need a visa to enter China. If you hold PR, WP, EP, STP or DP in Singapore, you can apply for a visa at the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Singapore rather than the China embassy in Singapore. It takes 4 working days for visa processing.
