Mr.Muhammad Shafi, you can apply for China Study Visa (X visa)in August, the requirements for X visa are:
(I) The Original Visa Notice Sheet (JW 201 or JW202 Form) from an authorized governmental apparatus/organization in China;

(II) Admission Letter from your perspective college/university/institution

(III) Secondary School Certificate Examination Marks (original and copy), I guess that you don't need to provide because you go to China for PhD.

(IV) Physical Examination Record for Foreigner (the blank form can be downloaded from this website) attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan

(V) The original passport with validity more than 15 months and more than 2 blank visa pages;

(VI) Photocopy of the first 2 pages (personal information) of the passport and the recent Chinese visa page if there is any;

(VII) One fully completed visa application form in Chinese or English, attached with one of the applicant's recent color photograph (30mm X 40mm)
The bank statement is not required.

Please submit the visa application to the China embassy in Islambad or consulate in Karachi according to consular districts.
