About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

Hi,
I am a Canadian citizen (born in China), currently visiting in Seoul. I need to go to China visiting my family for the summer. I read the information on your website, it seems you don't accept individual applications for tourist/family visa after Sept. 2007. So, in my case, I have to let one of the authorized traveling agencies to apply for my Chinese visa, am I correct? If so, how long the visa will allow me to stay in China?

Thanks,

Wen

Ms.Wen, you are right, you have to apply for China L visa through the authorized travel agencies. Normally the duration of stay of a "L" visa is 30 days, which means the holder of the visa may stay in China for up to 30 days from the date of entry. If your estimated stay in China is longer than 30 days, please make it clear in the application form and ask for the Visa Officer's approval when you submit your application..
