About:Tourist Complaints in China

On Friday 28 May 2010 I was coerced into buying a Nokia 5230 phone. I am a pensioner and felt that I was being bullied by the salesman from the Modern Digital Shop 8 G/F Majestic House Nathan Rd TST KLN. He convinced me that the phone I was purchasing was the best available and that a price of HK$ 3,300 was extremely competative.

I left the following day for Thailand and noticed at the airport that the same phone cost about 1,800 HK$ - I further check the price on the internet today 30 May 2010 and confrimed that I had been ripped off - I would call such a salesperson just a theif.

If there is any action that can be taken against this company for taking advantage of people then I would appreciate your assistance in doing so. I certainly would not recommend that company to any purchaser. I believe that I was robbed of at least 1,500 HK

Whilst I am aware that there are people to contact about touts etc it should also include so called respectable businesses.

I hope this does not fall on deaf ears and appreciate anything you can do to protect future rip offs by this shop.

Thank you for your help

PS I tried to locate the company on the web but could not access them to complain directly

I had the same experience but I think I got it worst since they were able to convince me to buy two tablet pc for HK12,000 which later turned out to be the not so high end tablet pc. Later I knew that the price would have easily been just HK6,000. So I was duped by at least half or HK6,000. Please be careful with these thieves. I hope they burn in hell or their shop burns. . .
