Hello
I plan to run a section of the wall, I don't mind the steps and wild'ness of some sections but I don't know what section would be good for this activety, I like to run about 20-40 km and is should be a day trip from Beijing I like to start early to have plenty of time. But most section seems rather short is it seams like only
"Jinshanling to Simatai", "Huanghuacheng" and "Jiankou" fits my lenght as all seem to be about 10km so a roundtrip will be 20km.
"Jinshanling to Simatai" seem to be the easiest part both regarding transport and shape of the wall.

1. Are the other section that fits? Do all tree fit?
2. Can one run/hike the 10km on "Huanghuacheng" ?
3. And "Jiankou" seems to be the hardest part since it is not in a good shape but it seem like a nice challenge but there do not seem to be good transportation early in the morning from Beijing. Is it to long for a cab and will a cab be to expensive?

Well, Jinshanling to Simatai is the most popular section for hiking. The whole hiking distance is about 10km. Huanghuacheng great wall is cut off by waters and the hiking route is not continuous. Forget about Jiankou. It has been forbidden for hiking because it's too dangerous and involves of several lives there.
