About:Chinese Embassy in Australia

Hi, just checking that I get things right - I will be flying into Shanghai and staying there for 4 days and will then
go to Hong Kong for another 4 days. While I am in Hong Kong I intend to go to mainland China maybe 2 or 3 times. What visa will I need? Thank you for your help

I think you have to apply for a multiple entry China visa, since you will exit and enter China for more than twice.
