Can I extend my multiple entry visa for 40 days more in China?

i m a student study Master of TCM in Tianjin. now i will be graduted on this 2months, but i m facing a problem is i need to stay for 40days in china according University of TCM to complete my course and take graduted of photo. but now i m holding Multi-Entry Visa with 24-month Validity 30days (enter before 09 sep 2011)
could i extend my visa for 40days use?
please help me & give me some solution.

are you still in Tian Jin, i will be visiting the first hospital TCM the last week of Dec and the first week of Jan. I will be interested to meet some tcm students.
I am working in switzerland, in my own TCM Praxis.

Yes, you may apply the extension of stay in China with the proof of your school at the local public security bureau.
