About:Chinese Embassy in Canada

I am expected to arrive in Shanghai at 3.15 pm on Monday, and leaving Wednesday 5.05 pm. This makes 50 hours effectively in Shanghai. I understand a visa is not required if one stays under 48 hours. In this case, would you addvice if I need a visa for this trip. Thanks.

Yes, you need a transit visa for your trip because your stopover in Shanghai is more than 48 hours.
