About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

I live in Tokyo and hold both a Japanese and American passport. I went to the Chinese embassy in Tokyo to apply for a 3-month visa to China with my Japanese passport, since it's cheaper, and they told me to get a tourist visa I have to go through a travel agency and can't do it directly. What the hell is this all about?

Regular holder of Japan Passport can visit China visa exempt for 15 days. I have never APPLIED for China Visa, good for only 30 days... if you need to extend your visit go to HK and enter China for additional 15 days. Dual nationality is not recognized in Japan, South Korea nor in China, therefore, do not claim dual nationalities nor show both passport.
