i have a single entry visa for china.

Question

I have a single entry visa for China. But before I visit China, I will be flying from Tokyo to Hong Kong with a layover in Beijing. Will my transfer in Beijing count as my entry into China? I will need to be able to fly back into China for my actual visit a few weeks later, and am worried that I will be denied entry if my transfer counted as my entry. Thanks for any help anyone can give me!

How long wiii you stop at Beijing when flying from Tokyo to HK? Will you exit the airport?
