About:Chinese Consulates in Japan

Hello,

I am a Philippine citizen, married to a Japanese, living in Hiroshima. Our family is flying to London and our plane will transit (about 3 hours layover) in Shanghai. Will I need a visa for this transit? If yes, do I need to go to the Osaka Consulate to personally apply for one? I am hoping I can apply through a travel agency considering the distance between Hiroshima and Osaka. Thank you.

You don't need a visa for the 3 hours transit in Shanghai airport if you don't leave the airport. Your husband Japan passport holders can leave the airport and don't need a China transit visa. You Philippines passport holders need a transit visa if you leave the airport.
