Help! I am going to Hong Kong and have a HKID but it is in my family's apartment in Hong Kong. I fly in next week from Tokyo - how can I enter the country without it - can I just use my passport? Do I have to have an exiting air ticket?

Please don't worry, As far as I know, Australia passport holders are exempt from a visa to Hong Kong for up to 90 days, the immigration officer won't ask you the air ticket out of Hong Kong.
