About:Chinese Embasy in Ireland

Hi, I'm all set to go to China on Apr 26th working for a year but i'm still waiting for the Z visa documents to be returned to me hopefully by next week. I know it will be really tight on schedule. Once I have the documents in hand, i have been advised that I can have the visa issued as an expedited service - usually the same day or the next morning as I've got the contract to the job already & the start date is in early May.

1. Realistically, how effective is the expedited service because I'll need to get them within the day as the Embassy are not open Sat or Sundays and I'm flying off on the Monday. My flights are already booked as well so I don't want to lose out on changing them either.
2. What other documentation will i need to bring with me to the Embassy for the Z Visa.
Can you please help me?
