About:China Visa Fees

Hello,
I have a quick question--I have an L Visa, which I have extended once for 30 days. If I overstay the extension by 2-3 days will this hurt my ability to get a Visa in the future? Also, are there fines associated with overstaying by a few days? I've heard both that you have to pay the 500RMB fines for any days you overstay and that you only have to pay if it's over 10 days--very confusing! Is it more strict in Beijing rather than in other cities? Thanks for your help!

overstay 2-3 days is not very imporatant, you can surrender yourself to the police and apologize for your fault, then maybe you won't be fined and get a short-term visa to exit China, maybe you will be fined at the rate of RMB 500 per day, but you won't be refused to enter China.
