Mrs.Jenny, where do you study in Australia, Sydney, Brisbane, or Melbourne? You can apply for tourist visa, the required documents are:
(i) Original passport with at least two blank visa pages. For single entry visa, your passport should be valid at least 6 months;

(ii) One completed Visa Application Form with a recently-taken passport photo stuck on it; all the items on the application form should be completed neatly with genuine information;

(iii) An applicant holding a non-Australian passport should provide the photocopy of his or her valid Australian visa and entry stamp. An applicant holding an e-visa or who comes from the visa-exemption country should provide the legal residence card in Australia when needed.

(iii)other documents required by visa officer, such as hotel reservation, return flight tickets, financial certificate

The fee for single-entry tourist visa (L visa) is 50 Australia dollars, if you apply for it through the Chinese Visa Application Service Center, you should pay extra 35 Australian dollars for the service.
