About:Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka

Dear sir, I have been traveling to china on business many times. all these were on the invitation of my suppliers. But presently i have received 2 invitations and the Visa section is insisting on a visa issue notice from my suppliers ( Red Stamp from a ministry). may i ask is this a requirement. if so what exactly does it achieve. I also noticed that my suppliers who have been with me for over 4 years are reluctant to get this due to the trouble they have to go through.

does this mean that i cannot do business with china or visit my suppliers in the future? wont this affect all the others who are dealing with china? at the embassy i noticed many people who are genuine in there applications were refused for the lack of the visa issue notice. in fact a very prominent business man who has many suppliers and has been dealing with china for many years was refused a visa for this very reason.

Just hope the Chinese government does some thing about it before they loos buyers for there products.

Mr.Khalid. as I know, your supplier should go to an economic and trade bureau or a foreign affairs office of the provincial or municipal government to apply for the visa notice sheet.
