About:Chinese Embassy in Japan

Hello,

I just learned today that i need to travel to Tokyo on the 7th till 10th April and from there travel to Shanghai for a same company business visit till the 14th of April. However, this leaves me no time to arrange my China visa before my departure from France, where I'm residing. Is there any possibility to obtain a visa in Tokyo (on the 8th/9th) and what visa do I need to apply for? Are there any particular services I need to refer to? Is this feasible or are you advising negative?

I hope you can provide me with further guidance.

Thanks

Mr.SWH, I think that you can apply for tourist visa or business visa to Shanghai, for applicants of developed countries, it is not hard to get a China visa in Tokyo, the requirements for tourist visa are:
1. Valid passport (at least six months before expiration) with blank visa pages and copy of the first three pages;

2. Completed Visa Application Form with one passport photo.

3. return flight ticket, hotel reservation, sometimes, they are not required

4. copy of legal entry stamp to Japan or valid Japanese visa.

Hi,

Thanks for the info. Do you maybe also know the turnaround time from application to getting the visa issues. Heard about rush services etc against additional feeds. Is it 24hrs or more?

Maybe you know this as well.

Thanks again
