About:Rights & Duties in China

Hi there :)

I am English and live in Japan but am planning on having a 2 week holiday in England.
I am wanting to fly with Air China since it is the cheapest ticket, it stops in Peking for 3 hours for a flight changeover. However the Travel Company I consulted with today said that although my girlfriend (Japanese) would be ok, that I would probably need to apply for a visa to enter China!

I read somewhere on the Internet just now (and this is my own opinion too) that as long as you don't leave the airport or stay in the airport for over 24 hours then you don't need anything.

Is this true?

Can you give me any advice?

Thanks :)

Hi, Digger,
You do not need for a visa to enter China withine 24 hrs and do not leave the airport. Plz read the relevant visa policy:

No visa is required for foreigners who hold air tickets to the final destination and have booked seats on international airlines flying directly through China, and will stay in a transit city for less than 24 hours and do not leave the airport.
