About:Guilin Travel

My wife and I will be in Shanghai during the last week of April and had been planning to go to Guilin. However, I have heard that it is so dry in Guilin this year that it is not worth taking the time to visit. Is that true? Should we cross it off our list this year and visit some other time?

Hi Robb,
There is a drought in some areas in Guangxi, but Guilin is not affected, actually it has been raining for days.:)
There are so many visitors come over here and have fun.Our hostel just receive a group of 18 from UK the day b4 yesterday.
Since you are in China ,I think you shouldn't leave any regret.Guilin is definately a nice place:)

Yes, we did travel at that time and there was no problem. There had been a dry period, but it rained before we got there and there was no problem taking the boat from Guilin to Yangshuo, or taking the bamboo rafts on the river in Yangshuo. We stayed at the Yangshuo Resort and had a very enjoyable time.
