About:Chinese Embassy in U.K.

I am looking to go to China to teach, can I go to China on a tourist visa, and if I find a job can I change my tourist visa to a business or working visa while I am in China. Also I have been told I can try and get a business visa using an invite from the UK company I work for to get a business visa, or does it have to be an invite from a chinese company? Please help....

Mr.M Stapley, you can go to China on a tourist visa to find a job, if your employer is reputable and powerful, then he can help you to apply for a work visa within China, such as you go to a famous university or high school to teach English. If you go to a small private traning center to teach English, then you have to exit China to apply for Z visa, then re-enter China on a Z VISA.

if the UK company your work for has a branch in China, the invitation letter from the branch of the Uk company cna help you to apply for business visa.
