I would like to ask some information concerning registering marriage in china with my wife. i got married with my wife who is a chinese in the uk in a islamic way. we both were student in university in the uk. but now my wife's student visa runs out and because we havent registered our marriage under the british law, so she could not extend her visa as my dependent, so she has to go back to china. we are thinking to register in china once i got the chinese visa. my wife checked on the internet that i will need a single status certificate authorized by foreign affairs government of pakistan and chinese embassy or consulate in pakistan to register marriage in china with her. but i am currently working in the uk after postgraduate study, and i cant take much time off to stay in china, i can only take one week off to fly to china and register there with my wife. basically i have two main questions that i hope you can help me: the first one is: can i get the single status certificate in the uk by pakistan embassy? or i have to go back to pakistan to get that? second question is how long will it take to register with my wife in china? we checked on the internet that we both need to go to a pointed hospital to have a whole body check, and how long will it take to get that health certificate? is it one week enough for me to register there with my wife?
