Wel, it will save your 2~3 hours for flying to HK directly.

But dont we need 45mins in HK airport then half more hour to get to central from HK airport?Shenzhen to HK is around 2~3 hours from shenzhen airportSo thats like 1.5 hour to save only.. am i right?

The 2~3 hours doesn't include the time when you arrive Shenzhen Airport to claim baggage and go through immigration&customs. And, at the customs border from Shenzhen to Hong Kong by bus, it will take you about 30 minutes at least.At HK Airport, 30~45 minutes for check out and then take the Airport Express Train to arrive in Central in 30 minutes.
