Hello-
I am an American and teach English in Japan. I am trying to figure out my travel plans for my vacation. I would like to take the ferry from Osaka to Shanghai in May. I am then planning on flying to the USA from China. I read online that I I need to show round trip airline proof for the tourist visa to China. Can I show the ferry one way ticket from Osaka and then a one way ticket from China?
Thank you for your help!

Ms.mitzi, as I know, USA passport holders can easily get a China visa without the round-trip flight ticket, if the visa officer requires the transporation arrangements, the one-way ferry ticket to Shanghai and the flight ticket from China to USA are accepted.
