About:Chinese Embassy in Philippines

Hi,
I want to know if I can stay in China for two weeks before I leave for the US. I currently have a US Visa but I planned to pass by China on the second week of May and stay for 2 weeks for a family reunion after that I will fly directly to the US. Is that possible? The tourist visa for china states that I need to show a round trip ticket, but I am no longer planning to come back to the Philippines, I plan to fly directly from china to the US. Please advise. There is no consular office in my hometown and I need to go to Manila to apply for the Chinese tourist visa. I appreciate your immediate response.

yes, you can first go to China, then fly directly to US, you can show the flight ticket to US, it is ok for visa application.

Thank you so much your your immediate response Teddy. I am actually migrating to the US, and currently unemployed. Can you tell me what are the things I need to bring for the China Visa Application? In their website they mentioned some SSS, TIN, etc. but since I am unemployed I would not have current contributions to show. Are the hotel reservation and my ticket to the US enough to show in the embassy? I really appreciate your help.
