My wife and I will be in China from around 24 May 2010 and are now planning our itinerary. Is it going to be difficult to visit Shanghai during the first few days in June, 2010 because of EXPO? Is that why many tours are not available?

Many tours are not available? Should not be! Although the tour price and the hotel room rates will be influenced during the expo, the tours should be still available. You may double check this.
