Hi. I know that from Zhengzhou you can take a bus to Dengfeng. How can I get from the Dengfeng train station to Shaolin Temple? I don't want a bunch of tour groups hassling me and I don't want to spend the money for a taxi. How much would it cost by taxi and what should I tell the driver? Is there a way to get to the temple via bus? How much would that cost? When does the first bus leave from Zhengzhou to Dengfeng? How long does it take from Zhengzhou to Dengfeng?What time are the shows at the Shaolin temple?

Ms.Linda,After arriving in Dengfeng, you may take a taxi or No. 1 bus to West Bus Station (汽车西站). Then take No. 8 bus to Shaolin Temple. The ticke fare of No.8 bus is CNY 2 per person. It takes CNY 17 or 25 from Zhenzhou to Dengfeng. You may spend about one hour on the way.

Is the West Bus Station different from the bus station that I will arrive in from Zhengzhou?If I opt to take a taxi from the drop off, should I tell the taxi driver Shaolin Temple or is there a different way to say it in Chinese (pin yin please). Hello Linda,Dengfeng has no train station,the way to go to shaolin temple is by bus NO.8 at West bus station it costs 2 RMB/each,or by taxi it costs 25 RMB/each.You can just say Shaolin Si“ (it sounds like seu) or you can print it in Chinese 少林寺 to show it to the taxi driver.The first bus leaves from Zhengzhou to Dengfeng at 06:00,it takes 90 mins.
