About:Chinese Embassy in Australia

I am a UK citizen. I am flying from London (UK) on 22nd March 2010 and arriving in Canberra on 24th March 2010. I wish to travel to China for 2 weeks - leaving Australia on 3rd April 2010 and arriving in Beijing on 4th April 2010. Unfortunately I cannot get an appointment with the UK Chinese Visa Application Service until 17th March 2010.It takes 4 working days - maybe 3 working days for extra fee. I am not sure whether I will get the visa on time. My question is : can I apply for a visa at the Chinese Embassy in Canberra in person and get a visa for my planned journey? Thanks in advance.

Mr.Koonar, generally speaking, Uk citizen can easily get a Chinese visa at the Chinese Embassy in Canberra, you can apply for it in person. However, sometimes, Chinese embassy in Canberra refuses to issue visa to temporary visitors to Australia.
