About:Chinese Embassy in Singapore

I'm Malaysian and working in Singapore with work permit,and travel back to Malaysia everyday. I plan to go to China in april,
1) can I do my visa singapore?
2) Do I need to submit my pasport to the embassy when i apply for the visa? If yes, how many days only I can get back I pasport?

Mr.Fong, you can apply for Chinese visa in Singapore, you should submit your original passport to the embassy when you apply for the visa because the visa will be stamped on the visa page of your paspsort, it takes at least 3 working days.
