Hi

I am from Australia, traveling China from August - September - October. Can you tell me how I can climb Changbaishan to see Tianchi? Do I need to get permission? Is it possible to climb alone, or do I need to go as part of an organised tour group? How long would it take to climb, what sort of clothing do I need and is it dangerous?

Kind Regards

Adam

Well, you could go to visit the open area of Tianchi freely. You'd better go there with others or a tour group for security consideration. August will be the best time when the weather will be sunny for viewing the water.
