HiI am planning a trip to Chengdu sometime mid-May for 5 days but am not too sure if it is enough to visit the key attractions. Can you also recommend a reasonable hotel/area to stay in that is convenient and easily accesible to major attractions.

If you look for youth hostel, there is one near the entrance of the valley, in Pengfeng Village, Zhangzha Town. 诺日郎招待所 is well located inside the valley which is a great place to live for closer to the attractions. Star hotels are almost outside the valley, not very convenient.

Dynasty hotel is convenient for tour located in downtown ,but expensive as 5 stars hotel , if you need substantial ones ,plis contact me ,
