1. there is no public transportation could be used to get to Hangzhou when you arrive in Shanghai. So, you have to stay one night in Shanghai. Of course, you have to hire a cab to drive you from Shanghai Airport to the hotel as well.
2. It is much faster for you to take a bullet train from Shanghai South Railway Station to Hanghou, just taking 1.5 hours. However, the Hengsheng Peninsula International Hotel is far away from this railway station. My suggestion is that you book a hotel around Shanghai South Railway Station.
Tips: when I went to Shanghai last summer, I booked the Jingjiang Inn (South Railway Station branch), which is just about 1.5kms away.
3. From Hangzhou East Bus Station, you could catch a bus to arrive in Suzhou in 2 hours. No need to return to Shanghai.
