About:Chinese Embassy in Vietnam

Hello. I am an American citizen and I have been living in Beijing for over three months. I am planning a trip to Ho Chi Mihn City for the Spring Festival. However, my Chinese (F) visa will expire in February and I am wondering if I will be able to get a six month tourist (L) or business (F) visa to China while I am in Vietnam. How much would it cost and how long might it take? Also, would it help if I had a letter of invitation from a school in Beijing. Thank you!

yes, the letter of invitation letter from a school in beijing is helpful for visa application, the visa fee is US$130, it takes about 1 week for visa processing. Here I can't tell you an assuring answer that you can get a Chinese visa in Ho Chi Mihn City because the Chinese visa officer issue visa according to the nationality and diplomatic relations.

Thank you very much for your response. Is the $30 visa fee for the 6 month tourist (L) or the business (F) visa?
